Let it Be

On Saturday night (the 20th) myself and a few friends went to a performance of Odyssey Dance Theater of Let it Be. They had two separate acts. The first act was not that great. I think that for the most part none of us were fans, which was sad because I love contemporary dance and I just really didn't enjoy the dances that they had rehearsed. The second act was all music from The Beatles and it was better. I think in the future I will probably skip Let it Be and only go to Thriller. I loved Thriller and it is done by the same dance company and so it was a let down to not love this show as much. Before the show we had an usher take a couple of pictures for us. He was this older man who was so sweet! He took a few pictures and taught us that when you are taking a picture inside and want to be able to see beyond a few feet behind the subjects that you should turn your flash off because your flash doesn't reach very far and then your picture turns out dark. Anyway here are a couple of pictures from that evening.

Halloween High Jinks

Last night I went to the Utah Symphony performance of Halloween High Jinks. Before going I was a little unsure if I wanted to go because some of my other friends were going to This is the Place to see the Halloween display they put on but I really enjoyed the symphony! One of my favorite things about Sunday mornings(and really I should just do it more often!) is listening to the collection, albeit small, of classical music I have on my iPod. Anyways they played several pieces and had a Halloween costume contest. The last piece that they played was Rumpelstiltskin they had a narrator who told the story and then the symphony played the music. I took a video of a funny part, sorry if it is not really clear. P.S. I'm not the one laughing...I think it was somebody behind me.
