This weekend I also bought a new Kitchen Aide mixer, I love it! The stand mixer I had before was great but it could not knead dough, mix cookie dough and it also had a hard time incorporating my cream cheese with eggs when I make cheesecake and so I almost always needed to mix it by hand. Not the Kitchen Aide, I turned it on walked away and did something else came back and it was perfectly mixed! Anyways for this weekends baking fun I decided on a cheesecake, I saw a recipe in a magazine that used pumpkin and I decided I wanted it this weekend as opposed to later in the fall. It was really easy to make and it turned out really yummy! The crust was made with graham crackers and crushed pecans, I'm still not sure if I liked the addition of the pecans but so far others have said that they liked them. Here are a couple of pictures.

And in the manner of full disclosure, here is a picture of how it looked after it was in the fridge overnight. I cannot make a cheesecake without a crack in it. Oh well it tasted good and I think that even with the crack it looked good too:)
