Modern Conviences

This one might sound silly but I have been thinking about how lucky I am to live in a time with so many modern conveniences. At another time I don't think I would have been able to move far from my family and still keep in contact regularly. I also don't think that I would be able to travel to see them or have them travel to see me anywhere near as often as we are able to do now. I'm grateful that I can use a phone or a computer to keep in touch with family and friends. I'm also grateful for things like running water (even though we don't have running water right now), flushing toilets (also our toilets don't flush since we don't have running water), refrigerators, cars, planes, public transportation, cd players, iPods, central air and other such things. I was truly born in the right century! :)
