Day 4

Day 4 says to blog about my parents.
I have been blessed to have not only my mom and dad but also a step mom and step dad, as well as family friends who have been like parents and friends families who have sort of adpoted me into their family:)
My mom is my absolute best friend. I call her about everything and pretty much tell her everything. I love her more than I have ever loved anyone else and I'm positive that I have been blessed beyond measure to have her as my mom!
My dad is also a great parent. We weren't really close when I was in high school, which I think was mostly my own doing. I hated being away from my mom when I was growing up and so going to my dad's to visit with him was really hard for me. I loved my dad but he didn't live anywhere near my mom and so when I would go to visit him I would really miss my mom and I'm sure that I was not pleasant to be around. But as I have grown older I have come to recognize that my relationship with my dad is not going to be the same as the relationship that I have with my mom but that doesn't mean that it isn't important and worthy of my time and attention.
I'm so thankful that this is the family that I was blessed with!
