As you are aware I'm sure I try to bake something at least every weekend. I wish I could do more but right now time is in the way. Sometimes it is hard to fit any baking in, but it refuels me and so I really do put most other things on hold if need be to bake at least once during the week or weekend. I have been trying to make new things recently, things that I have never tried before because I have been intimidated. Well most have been a success with only a few failures along the way, remember how the butter cream frosting melted all over my black shorts on the way to a church activity:)

This weekend I decided to make Creme Brulee, I know I thought the same thing, is this going to be good? Can you make this? This is the only thing you get to bake this weekend and so their will be a blog post about it and people are going to see pictures of a soupy Creme Brulee...not so good. Anyways I decided that I was tired of being afraid of this and so I looked through my cookbooks and also through the cookbooks of a friend, I wanted to find a recipe that had good ingredients but also did not take forever to make. I could not find a recipe with both parts of the equation and so I took the ingredients from one recipe and the baking time from another and did my best to adjust the ingredients so that they would bake in the correct amount of time....Did not work so well, they winded up taking an hour to bake which was 40 minutes longer than the recipe stated but it was about 15 hours less than the recipe with the great ingredients. They turned out great and were very yummy.
